Colong Foundation Anniversary Dinner Tuesday 29 May, 6pm at Club York, 99 York St, Sydney with guest speaker, our Patron, Professor Bob Carr. Buffet style dinner (Cost $65.00/pp). Is now FULLY BOOKED, please consider joining another event.

Coogee to Bondi Walk
Walk, Brunch & an exhibition of wilderness photographs by Henry Gold Stead Foundation: Sunday 10 June: 7.45 am for 8am start. $40
Meet at end of Coogee Bay Road, near Coogee Beach. President of the Stead Foundation, David Stead will lead this 6km walk to Bondi. Finish walk with a light brunch. Then join guided tour of Henry Gold’s stunning wilderness photographs. Finish before noon. For those travelling to Coogee by public transport: Catch 7.21am Bus # 372 departing Stand C at Eddy Avenue, Central Station, arriving at Arden Street, near Dolphin Street, Coogee at 7.45 am for start of walk. Education Course: Wilderness 2018: The Photography of Henry Gold
WEA,Sydney: Thursday 14 June: 10-11.30am. $38
Henry Gold OAM is one of Australia’s leading wilderness photographers. Learn about the history behind
his stunningly beautiful images that for nearly 50 years have convinced politicians that some places are just
too beautiful to destroy. Following the course, you are invited to join a picnic to Bondi Beach and see his

The “Colong Colossus” - a series of week-long wilderness bush walks will herald a gathering at Batsh Camp over the October long weekend to celebrate the successful 1968 Colong Campaign - Registration to be advised at a later date. Booking arrangement to be posted later.

In keeping with Colong Foundation traditions, we kick off our anniversary with a campaign launch -

We had a successful forum on saving the Blue Mountains' wild rivers from the raising of Warragamba Dam wall with Bob Debus and Bob Brown on 26 March, at The Hub, Springwood was a great success. Over 400 people attended. If you missed it, you can watch a video of the event.
