Celebrate Joyce and Vern Moffitt who protected workers and Lithgow's Gardens of Stone.


Local conservationists and retired unionists invite you to the dedication of a commemorative plaque to honour Vern and Joyce Moffitt at the Lithgow State Mine Heritage Park.  The Moffitts were trade unionists and conservationists who worked for the protection of the Gardens of Stone. 

A commemorative plaque unveiled Sunday 30 June at 1.00PM after which join us for a barbecue lunch.

Lithgow community joining together to honour their exceptional cultural, industrial and natural heritage, and Lithgow's pagoda landscapes are a part of that remarkable heritage.

Public transport options: 8:27 Blue Mountains train arriving at Lithgow at 11:15. 

A bus will be leaving the station shortly after the 11:15 train.
