Land Conservation Council, 1991, "Wilderness Special Investigation Final
Recommendations", pp 154-155, identifies two areas of Wilderness quality in the
area. These are Bundara/Cobungra (13,700 ha) and Bogong (16,300 ha). Neither
area was declared wilderness, instead being classified as Other Areas with
Remote and Natural Attributes.
