DESCRIPTION

This area lies north of the Emerald-Longreach Road and comprises a sandstone
range with minor basalt caps. Tertiary alluvium is found along creek lines. [1]

Vegetation within the area consists of woodland of Narrow-leaved Ironbark
(Eucalyptus crebra) and bloodwoods (E. polycarpa and E. bloxsomii) with a
shrubby or grassy understorey. Sheletered sites support Lemon Spotted Gum (E.
utriodora). [2]

Little information exists on the area's fauna.

GRAZING
The area, whilst being held under grazing selection, is only lightly grazed.
There apears to be only slight potential for major disturbance in the near
