DESCRIPTION

This area is centred on the Coturaundee range [1].

The area contains specimens of white pine, wilga and wild orange.
The rocky ranges of this area supports acacias, cassias,
prostanthera and bossia.

Watercourses feature River Red Gum while the adjacent alluvial
flats support Beefwood (Grevillea striatata), cypress pine
(Callitris columellaris) and mulga (Acacia aneura) with an
understorey of Emu Bush (Eremophila) and saltbush.

Surrounding plains and sand hills supot low shrub vegetation
although in some areas grassland has replaced the shrub
community [2].

The Coturaundee Range contains a small population of the rare
Yellow-footed Rock Wallaby [3].
