Guide letter 1: Wilderness protection

Include the following points in your letter:

In order to curb commercial tour operators, four wheel drive, trail bike and horseriding groups and enhance protection of Kosciuszko’s fragile lands:

all wilderness proposed in the environment group's Plan for Environment Protection and Restoration should be protected under the Wilderness Act; and

the plan of management should require the powerlines between the Bogong, Goobarrangandra and Bimberi Wilderness and bisecting the Main Range to be relocated at the end of their engineering life.

What steps will you take to ensure the environment groups' proposed Tabletop and Jagungal wilderness extension over the Main Range are declared under the Wilderness Act, 1987?

Could you please advise what steps will you take to protect wild rivers in the plan of management, in addition to the studies currently proposed?

Will you restore the Goodradigbee River by removing the aqueduct diverting its headwater flows to Tantangara Dam?

Signed

Guide letter 2: Improve pest species management

Include the following points in your letter:

I would like the management of Kosciuszko National Park to:

aim work towards the remove of all feral pest animals from the entire Park, including feral horses, using the  most effective and humane methods available, including Australian Veterinary Association endorsed aerial shooting.

without a cull, feral horse numbers will double in fives years and I do not want Kosciuszko becoming a horse ranch.

stop the stocking of feral fish species into the Park's rivers, as recommended by the Independent Scientific Committee.

Please advise what steps your Government is taking toward better wildlife management for Kosciuszko National Park?

Signed

Guide letter 3: Stop resort development in the park

Include the following points in your letter:

I oppose the regime outlined in the Alpine Resorts Plan which allows developer driven expansion of resorts in the Park.

I oppose the amusement park activities and private real estate expansion that the Alpine Resorts Plan permits, it attacks nature and is not related to the park's alpine environment.

I request that the Rees Government:

support a moratorium on resort development in the Park, including private chalets and apartment blocks;

prevents construction of the six apartment block style developments in Perisher Valley;

develops an accommodation policy which places resort development outside the Park in "gateway towns" with a public transport system into the Park;

relocates the resorts out of the Park when their leases are renegotiated or expire;

bans cloud seeding and increased snow making as a response to climate change and the rising snow line.

Please inform me what steps the NSW Government will take to reduce the ecological footprint of the alpine resorts inside Kosciuszko National Park?

Signed

Guide letter 4: Improve vehicle management and public transport

Include the following points in your letter:

I request that the Rees Government establish:

a ban on increased snow clearing of the Park's roads in winter, including the Kosciuszko Road between Perisher Valley and Charlotte Pass

a ban on increased snow clearing within the ski resorts, including in the currently snow bound Perisher Valley

a public transport plan that decreases traffic on Park roads, reduces the need for car parks in the Park and includes an upgrade of the ‘Ski Tube’

a ban on off road four wheel driving, trail biking and horse riding in the Park due to the damage they cause, especially in remote areas.

Please advise me of the steps your Government is taking to develop a public transport plan which decreases traffic on Park roads and includes an upgrade of the ‘Ski Tube’?

Signed
