High Impact Coal Mining - a creek dies

(Above)  Large pool on Native Dog  Creek
(now drained) and major cliff fall.

(Left)  Another dry reach of Native Dog
Creek - after three rain events in two
weeks no water flow due to mine related
 cracks in the stream bed.

For this creek to yield any water at all, the pool above and all the many others would first have to fill up before any flow would reach Avon Dam. This storage supplies Wollongong with water.
